The Warriors kicked off their season in exciting fashion on Tuesday, hosting Terre Haute North in the program’s first home meet inside the newly opened pool. The debut could not have gone much better, as both the girls’ and boys’ teams earned decisive victories. The Warriors tallied an impressive 19 event wins, demonstrating strength across multiple strokes and distances. Even more encouraging for an early-season meet, swimmers posted nine personal best times, signaling strong potential as the season progresses. There were a few early technical hiccups, with a couple of disqualifications due to technique errors, but coaches noted that this is typical for the start of the season and provides valuable feedback moving forward. Overall, the meet marked a memorable and successful christening of the new facility. With a pair of team wins, standout performances, and promising early times, the Danville Warriors have set a confident tone for the rest of the year.
