Danville’s swim and dive team put together a strong showing Thursday night in a double dual meet against Pike and Ben Davis at Pike High School. Competing against two large 6A programs, the 4A Warriors embraced the challenge and continued to demonstrate their growing strength early in the season. In the dual scoring, both the Danville boys and girls teams earned wins over Ben Davis. The girls team also battled Pike in a tight contest, coming up just short in a close finish. The boys team fell to Pike but posted several competitive races throughout the night. A highlight of the meet came from Maddie Scrafton, who swam the third-fastest 100 breaststroke in Danville school history, an impressive milestone that energized the entire team. Overall, the Warriors showed depth, determination, and steady improvement across events. The opportunity to race against strong opponents was valuable, and Danville proved they’re more than capable of meeting that level of competition. The team is looking strong and gaining momentum with each meet.
