Danville Community High School

Tonight, we met our rivals—but also one of our favorite teams—as Danville and Tri-West faced off in the inaugural Warriors-Bruins Cup. The Danville Warriors came out on top and earned the honor of hosting the trophy for the next year! We changed things up with a fun Ryder Cup-style format. The first three holes were played as a scramble, the next three as alternate shot, and the final three holes as match play. It was exactly what we hoped this new tradition would be. The girls competed, played some great golf, laughed, and had a fabulous evening with our friends from Tri-West. We may be rivals when we step onto the course, but nights like this are a great reminder that high school sports are about so much more than the final score. Warriors-Bruins Cup: Year One belongs to Danville! We’re already looking forward to next year.
